HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Through social and respite support and group picnics,
LIVE aims to:
- provide personalized, sensitive and on going support
within a friendly relationship through the one on one matching of a volunteer
and a person with a disability
- encourage local people to help members of their
community to participate in everyday life
- provide opportunities for people with a disability to
gain skills through volunteering
Both social and respite support involve spending
time (approx 3-4 hrs a fortnight) one on one with an individual however there are a few
main differences between the two.
