LIVE PICNIC GROUP

The picnic group developed from ideas generated at a LIVE client group meeting. Picnics are held on Sunday's on a monthly basis. During the hotter months they are held in the evenings. Picnic venues are suggested by people with a disability or volunteers and are assessed for disability access by LIVE staff.

The picnic group provides a chance for people who are isolated to get out and socialise and it is also a great chance for new volunteers to meet other volunteers and observe supportive interactions. The picnic group has become an important part of the induction process for volunteers who are joining the LIVE project.

Venues include the Botanic Gardens, Semaphore, Carisbrooke Park, Enfield and Hillcrest community centre's and more.
